Infant & Preschool Swim

ABK Swim curriculum has been adapted from years of staff teaching experience and from other independent swim schools nationwide. Combining up-to-date instruction style and techniques and using the latest swim aids on the market assists your child in learning at a faster pace.

Students 3 months- 3 years enroll in Minnow & Me classes (parent participation). Students ages 3-5 years should start by enrolling in either a skill-appropriate Dolphin class or a Prime Time Pool Private Lesson (see below).

Minnow & Me
Parent participation, Ages 3 months- 3 years
Trust, comfort and submersion through songs and group activities. Entries, gliding, rolling over, floating assisted and unassisted. Water safety knowledge for parents. Safety skill recoveries.
*Parent MUST remain in the pool at all times.

Dolphin 1
Ages 3- 5 Years
Trust, Comfort & submersion. Gliding, rolling over, assisted and unassisted floating, asking permission before entering pool, familiarity with a life jacket/PFD (personal flotation device).
*Parent MUST remain on the pool deck at all times.

Dolphin 2
Ages 3- 5 years
Beginner freestyle with bi-lateral breathing, backstroke, & intro to all strokes. Putting on a lifejacket in water, treading water, diving. Intermediate water safety skills.
*Parent MUST remain on the pool deck at all times.
